About

I’m Alexey — a software engineer focused on backend and distributed systems.

I work on building and improving systems that need to be reliable under real-world conditions — handling scale, failures and evolving requirements. My experience comes from working on ML platform infrastructure where correctness, data consistency and system behaviour in production matter as much as the code itself.

This blog is where I write about practical engineering problems: designing systems, debugging issues and thinking through trade-offs in distributed environments. The focus is on what actually happens in practice not just how things are supposed to work.

A few additional notes:

  • I value clear thinking, autonomy and doing work that has real impact.
  • I’m particularly interested in how systems behave under pressure and over time.
  • Outside of work, I play tennis and previously practiced judo — both taught me discipline and long-term focus.
